I apologize for the serious lapse in writing over the past few weeks... as shit has hit the proverbial fan, school has begun, work has sucked, and I have been moving. And just a note to DVD collectors, Fantoma will finally be releasing the much delayed Kenneth Anger box -- unfortunately only the first volume, which includes his films from Fireworks to the Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome. Paramount will also be releasing uncut versions of two long-out-of-print Bertolucci films, 1900 and The Conformist, in December.

And, if you want to find me on Friday, I'll be seeing Brian de Palma's The Black Dahlia, with (groan) Josh Harnett, (double groan) Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Eckhart, Hilary Swank, Mia Kirshner, and Rose McGowan (yep). Here's hoping it's as good (if not better) than his wildly underrated Femme Fatale.
