Yes, they have done worse, but they could have done much better. I hope this doesn't further the incorrect notion that Hollywood obviously supports that Benjamin Button is better than Zodiac.
Yeah, way to use the poster artwork, Criterion. I can only hope that this leads to the long rumored Criterion of The Game, so at least something good can come of this.
Or that this will be the start of Paramount giving Criterion the titles they want (not least of which Bergman's Face to Face, Abel Gance's Napoléon, Visconti's The Stranger... or maybe even that little-seen, apparently awful adaptation of Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer with Rip Torn and Ellen Burstyn).
"Face to Face" and "Napoleon" would be awesome. If they were going to release a newer film, why couldn't it have been "There Will Be Blood" - that deserves a Criterion treatment.

Hmmm is that so? It's been a while since they've done a new major release. They've certainly done a lot worse (i.e. Michael Bay films).

As long as it's a business deal as opposed to them saying that Benjamin Button was the artistic highlight of 2008.
